Bulletin 102, April 98
OR 98
International Conference
on Operations Research
ETH Zurich, 31 August - 3 September 1998

Second Announcement

Welcome address

The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to participate in the 4-annual Conference on Operations Research, jointly organized by SVOR, GOR, ÖGOR and SIGOPT. It is a special honour for us to host the recently founded society GOR (German Operations Research) for their first annual meeting.

The 11 topics in the sections have been designed accordingly, and with renowned experts leading the plenary and semi-plenary sessions we are convinced that the OR98 conference will be of mutual benefit to both the academic world and OR-professionals in industry.

We would also like to invite you to Zurich, a city that is worth a trip for its own sake, as it offers such a rich choice of cultural, sightseeing and shopping opportunities.

Prof. H.-J. Lüthi, Chairman OR98
