TEACHING/ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

Dar Al-Hekma Private College for Women began its second year of operation in August 2000. Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the new state-of-the-art facility will one day house 1500 students and 200 faculty. The college offers a college preparatory program and a four year baccalaureate program and associate degrees in Business Information Systems, Special Education, and Interior Design.  All courses are taught in English with the exception of Arabic and Islamic studies.

The Business Information Systems Program at Dar Al-Hekma College invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks including Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, and Professor. The College also invites applicants on sabbatical leave for visiting positions. Applicants for professorial levels must hold a Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems (or Business Information Systems), Information Technology, Computer Science, or related areas.

All applicants for faculty positions in the College are expected to hold earned terminal degrees in their fields and to have college teaching experience.

Areas of teaching are:

• Computer Architecture, Information Technology, E-Commerce, Internet, Computer Networks, Multimedia Networks, Data Communications, Systems Analysis and Design, and Programming (Visual Basic and Java).
• Management, Accounting, Marketing, and Management Information Systems.

Executive Director, Finance and Administration:

This position is responsible for activities in the areas of finance, business operations, physical plant, administration and computing operations and is responsible for formulating and administering organizational policies and procedures. Requires Master of Business Administration or equivalent, plus five years of related experience in finance. Direct experience in a non-profit organization and/or higher education is preferred.  Must be bilingual with excellent command of Arabic and English.
